Translation: Shepherd of Hermas Parable IX Chapter 29

by PastorWilliams on January 8th, 2014

1 “And out of the twelfth, white mountain, those who believe such are these: they are as newborn babies, into whom not one evil rises upon the heart nor knowledge, which is evil, but always in childishness they remain. 2 Therefore those such as these without doubt will dwell in God’s kingdom, because in not one deed they defiled God’s commandments, but with childishness they continued every day of their life in this understanding. 3 Therefore as many of you as continue,” He said, “and you will be as the newborns, not having evil, of all who have been mentioned before you will be more glorious; for all are children to Him. Therefore blessed are you, as many as have put away from himself evil, but you have clothed yourselves in guilelessness; first of all you will live to God.” 4 After he finished the parables of the mountains, I said to Him, “Lord, not to me declare concerning the stones taken from the plain and placed into the building against the round which were placed into the building, and of those still being round.”
